OzPaddle Sydney City offer a unique cross-training experience in the heart of Sydney. Ozpaddle’s Sydney City Paddle Fitness is located at the Andrew Boy Charlton Pool which sits adjacent to the Botanical Gardens and close to the Domain in central Sydney. We store the kayaks and equipment under Andrew Boy Charlton pool and this is where we meet. There is also a cafe there which serves great coffee and food.
Fitness sessions are designed for people to come once or twice per week and start from $30 per session. A lesson is required before joining these groups or you can do beginners sessions first. People cannot just turn up to these sessions without prior arrangement.
Currently, the Sydney City Paddle Fitness sessions run on Tuesday and Thursday mornings, meeting at 6.15am for a 6.30am start. These sessions involve paddling, a stop halfway at various locations to do some running, stretching and strength work. Sessions depend on weather and group. Beginners welcome. A morning Sydney City Paddle Fitness session is an amazing start to the day and with the facilities available, it makes for an easy and civilised start to the day before work. ABOUT THE SESSIONS
Our aim is to take you out of your comfort zone during training. Our Rose Bay and Sydney City locations run a number of sessions every week which focus on a range of techniques to ensure you improve your fitness levels in a fun and rewarding environment – Sydney Harbour!
Our sessions typically invoice paddling (of course), running, swimming and other activities appropriate to the location and season. Please refer to our fitness location pages for details of the session structures at each venue.

We need to know about any health problems you may have to help ensure your safety at our sessions. If there is anything you are unsure about or if you wish to have a private conversation, please phone either our Rose Bay location (Tommy – 0416 239 543) or our Sydney City location (Sophie – 0430 950 333).
All levels of of fitness are welcome and we have appropriate safety systems and equipment in place to deal with any issues that may arise out on the water. We carry communication equipment in every session and have life-jackets, tow ropes and other equipment available to support our squads. Please note that as with any form of exercise, you undertake sessions at your own risk. Training out on the water may involve you getting wet. As an outdoor activity, conditions can change so you may have to deal with adverse weather conditions on occasion. We train as a group and we encourage all squad members to look out for each other during our sessions.

Tommy Woodriff runs group fitness sessions from our Rose Bay location.
Tommy is a respected elite Australian paddler who is still actively involved and passionate about the sport. It is this passion, enthusiasm and experience that makes OzPaddle the No.1 choice for Kayak Group Fitness Training.
SYDNEY CITY FITNESS SESSIONS
Sophie Morgan runs group fitness sessions from our Sydney City location.
Sophie holds the Flatwater Kayak Guide and Instructor accreditation from Australian Canoeing and has many years of experience in kayak racing and fitness training around the Harbour.
She is passionate about paddling and loves showing guests the beauty of Sydney Harbour viewed from the water.
